Revision of the Algeria-EU association agreement from next year

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, indicated that the association agreement between Algeria and the European Union (EU) will be revised from next year.

During his periodic interview with media representatives, broadcast on Saturday evening, the President of the Republic specified that "the association agreement with the European Union will be revised from 2025", stressing that this revision, now "necessary", will be carried out "with flexibility and in a friendly spirit without entering into conflict" because, he said, "we maintain normal relations with the States (of the European Union), including France".

Referring to the reasons for this revision, the President of the Republic indicated that "the agreement with the European Union was concluded at a time when Algeria was very different from that of today".
