Presidential election: Abdelmadjid Tebboune elected President of the Republic for second term

The Constitutional Court on Saturday proclaimed Abdelmadjid Tebboune President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria for a second term, following his victory in the September 7, 2024, Presidential election.

According to the final results of the Presidential election, read out by the President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune was elected with 7,976. 291 votes (84.30% of the votes cast), while the candidate Abdelaali Hassani Cherif received 904,642 votes (9.56% of the votes cast), and the candidate Youcef Aouchiche 580,495 votes (6.14% of the votes).
