Niger accepts Algeria's mediation as part of President Tebboune's initiative

The Algerian Government received, through the Niger Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a notification of acceptance of Algerian mediation aimed at promoting a political solution to the crisis in Niger within the framework of the settlement plan presented by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, indicates, Monday, a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad.
“This acceptance of the Algerian initiative reinforces the option of a political solution to this crisis and opens the way to the meeting of the conditions which will allow it to be overcome peacefully in the interest of Niger and the entire region,” we read in the press release.
Taking note of this notification, the President of the Republic instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, to go to Niamey, "as soon as possible, with a view to starting preparatory discussions on the implementation of the Algerian initiative with all stakeholders", concludes the document.
