Commemoration of Mujahid Day

Under the supervision of His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed El Amine BENCHERIF, the Algerian Embassy in Brussels celebrated the Mujahid Day, which commemorates the double anniversary of the attacks of North Constantinois, on August 20, 1955, and the holding of the Soumam Congress, on August 20, 1956.
Under the slogan "Loyalty, edification and continuation", the celebration began with the singing of the national anthem.

On this occasion, the importance of these two significant events and pivotal dates in the history of the glorious National Liberation Revolution was recalled. The general context of the two events, their motivations and the objectives assigned to them at the internal and international levels were also highlighted.

Also, the Ambassador highlighted the impact of the two dates on the course of the Algerian people's struggle, emphasizing the sacrifices of the Mujahideen and the Chouhadas, calling for renewed loyalty to the message of the Revolution of the First November 1954, and to continue defending the independence and stability of Algeria, preserving national unity and completing the process of building and developing the country.

The celebration ended with the recitation of the Fatiha in memory of the valiant Chouhada.
